Nalukoola notifies court of appeal after election nullification
Kawempe North MP Erias Nalukoola's lawyers have indicated that they will appeal today's high court ruling, which effectively nullified his election.
High Court judge Bernard Namanya asked the Electoral Commission to prepare a fresh election, on account that the body had disenfranchised 16,640 voters, by ignoring the votes cast in 14 polling stations, out of the 180 polling stations that voted.
Nalukoola had been declared the winner on 24th March this year, with 17,764 votes, beating Faridah Nambi by a margin of over 8,000 vote
